Summer is almost over...

Summer is almost over and that sucks really bad. I am not looking forward to the winters here at all but I heard that they are pretty close to the Maritimes without the cold sea air (I heard this from a Newfie).

We had a fire a couple of weekends ago in our new fire pit. You can't buy wood around here so we were just burning every cardboard box and twig we could find. Fun times!

Our kitten Allie is getting big really fast, but she still loves getting into things!

Dana celebrated his 27th birthday last week and we also had our 2 year anniversary.

We will probably take a weekend trip to Winnipeg next month and I can't wait to go shopping at some real stores. Unless you live in a place like this, you will not know what it is like not being able to go shopping!! It is terrible! :(

Happy Birthday to Dana and Happy Anniversary guys! We had our 11th anniversary on Saturday the 26th. We're going to get a fire pit sometime in the next couple of years for our backyard as well! Hope you are doing well, drop me a line at home sometime! Huggs to you, Samantha, Harley and Allie!

You mentioned that you can't buy wood here in Sioux, maybe just head out into the bush (Driver Island--has lots) and pick some up. You can buy half ton loads of wood, just ask around.

Good luck

Everyone I asked said you couldn't buy wood, that people just cut it down! Thanks for the tip! We bought some patio logs from Canadian Tire so hopefully those will last us the rest of the summer/fall!

Hello?? Me too. Am I going to hear from you? Roast chickens aren't the same without you.

I miss the shopping in Winnipeg. Sioux sucks for shopping.

Head out the North Road and cut up some of the tree tops the loggers leave lying in piles on the road side. They don't care as long as you don't make a huge mess of the pile or get in the way.
