I've decided... and other thoughts (rants)...

Well I have decided to join a gym, Nubody's to be exact. I came to this conclusion when I went to get a pair of jeans at the thrift store and what I THOUGHT was my size didn't fit! The same size that I have worn for last last few years. I didn't really think that I was gaining weight because my clothes that I already own fit me. But OBVIOUSLY they are stretching right along with my body! It is not that I eat all that bad, it is because I don't exercise. I swim a couple times a week, but that is just not cutting it! I am joining Nubody's because they offer classes like Pilates and Yoga, which are fun! Plus they have a really good corporate rate for the company I work for.

Now it is time to rant a little bit... A couple has moved into the apartment next to us and they are driving us CrAzY! Actually I should say that SHE is driving us crazy... she is SOOOOOO LOUD and I don't just mean a little bit loud, I mean SUPER LOUD. It is her voice. She can't talk at a normal tone, she YELLS all the time. Whenever she watches a funny tv show or movie she laughs sooo LOUD! You are probably thinking "so what, she's loud, get over it". It wouldn't bother me so much except she is only loud from 11pm and on. It seems like just as I am on the verge of sleep she cackles! It seriously sounds like she is in bed with us. This would drive anyone crazy that has to get up for work in the morning... but the thing that really makes me mad is the fact that tonight, when we were putting up curtains, at 8pm, her boyfriend had the NERVE to yell "Stop banging!!" at us out the window...

And then there is the couple that sits on their balcony 24-7 with about 10 torches lit. Everytime I look out the window and see those darn torches (that light up OUR entire apartment I must add) the theme song from "Survivor" goes through my head...

AHHH... the joys of apartment living...

A weekend of rest...

Well the weekend is drawing to an end and I can honestly say that I did nothing but relax. My weekend mostly consisted of:

Which I am not complaining about at all! But, to make myself feel like I actually accomplished something this weekend I also baked 2 batches of oatmeal chocolate chunk cookies (no, not by scratch!) Take a look...

Mmmm... ! I better go get one while they're still warm from the oven!

Hope everybody has a great Monday!

No more Mrs. Nice Guy!

At work today I learned that the saying "Treat others how you would like to be treated" doesn't always work. Sometimes the other people are just NOT NICE! I will not go into any details, but sometimes I just feel like people totally take advantage of my niceness and I don't get any niceness in return! NO MORE MRS. NICE GUY!!! The day didn't start out all the good but slowly got better...

I went out for supper tonight for hubby's birthday with his family (mom, dad, grandmother, grandfather and two nieces). Had a good meal... probably shouldn't have had that piece of coconut cream pie, but hey, it's not like I eat it everyday! One of the nieces (she's 8) ordered a dessert called Dirt N' Worms. It is made out of chocolate pudding, crushed up oreos and gummy worms...

STRANGE, BUT TASTY!

It's great when a day that started so crappy can turn out so good! I just have to learn not to let other people's bad attitudes get me down!

GOODNIGHT!!

A few pictures

Here are a couple of pictures that I have taken this week...

Harley, Dana and I

Harley is our 2 year old chihuahua or shall I say "son". He is our baby. It is quite pathetic actually... :) We also have a cat, but I have yet to get her to pose for me... I never really realized how hard it is to get a good picture of a cat! Considering she does nothing but lay around all day you would think that it would be an easy task... go figure!

RollYIPPEE! Tomorrow is Friday!Bounce

Hello All!

Well, this is my first time posting a blog and I must say, it is quite confusing trying to get a picture posted in your profile. I am usually pretty good with stuff like this, but for some reason I am having a hard time.

Anyway... today is my hubby's birthday! Happy Birthday Hun-Bun! xoxoxo
He has to work backshift tonight so we won't be doing any celebrating tonight. We are going out for supper tomorrow night with his parents instead.

It was our 1st anniversary on Sunday... WOW! One year already! Isn't it amazing how fast time flies?! It totally doesn't feel like a year. People usually say that the first year is the hardest... does anyone think this is really true? I am gonna have to wait and see what the next year brings!

Here is a picture of us on our wedding day last August 21/04!

We went camping in the Annapolis Valley the weekend of our anniversary and had a great time. We went to Upper Clements Park and if anyone has been there they know that there is a very, very rickety wooden roller coaster there. Anyway, I remebered when I was 15 I went there with a friend and we rode that roller coaster all day - 10 years later and I go on it once and scream and cry like a baby! I guess I am past my fearless days!
